Member Categories

Membership of ITEA is open to all individuals and institutions who accept the purpose and the Bylaws of the Association and are interested in participating or otherwise contributing to the Association’s activities. We have three member categories:

  • Regular Member
  • Honorary Member
  • Supporting Member

A private person can be accepted as a Regular Member. A person who has significantly contributed to the theory and practice of transportation economics can be invited to be an Honorary Member. A private person or an institution having legal capacity who wants to support the purpose and activities of ITEA, financially or otherwise, can be accepted as a Supporting Member.

A member is entitled to a discounted fee for:

  • events the Association organizes;
  • publications of the Association

Currently these include the annual Kuhmo-Nectar Conference and Summer School, and Economics of Transportation: Journal of ITEA.

A member is entitled to attend business meetings. A Regular Member is entitled to vote at the meetings (also through internet) for officers and members of the Executive Committee and Nominating Committee.
